Nikola Tesla. Lectures is a performance / lecture / experiment in which Lorenzo Bazzocchi, company founder and builder of one of the most amazing inventions of Nikola Tesla, addresses the history of the great scientist Serbia.
The dazzling start seeing the lecturer, inside a Faraday cage, to face a Tesla Coil by a million volts, then gives way to a timely and detailed narrative that leads us into the folds of a misconception that has no equal in history of knowledge.
The story, fortified by exemplary demonstrations, highlights the reasons that, going beyond the desire to see recognized the work and the special visionary Nikola Tesla, have pushed to groped Masque theater staging various forms of the extraordinary universe related to what has been called “the inventor of the twentieth century”, until, after fifteen years of study, in this extraordinary conference / experiment, after which will be replicated on a smaller scale, the transmission experiment electricity without wires, the “Wireless transmission of power” designed and implemented by Tesla in Colorado Springs at the end of the nineteenth century.
BIOGRAPHY
Masque Teatro was born in 1992 in Bertinoro (Forlì-Cesena).
The visionary power of its theatre is expressed in the complex dialogue that the company establishes among three elements: the philosophical discourse, the wonderful scenic architecture and the essential role of the Figure. Plays such as Prigione detto Atlante (Myfest-Glasgow, 1994), Coefficiente di Fragilità (Triennale di Milano, 1998), Omaggio a Nikola Tesla (Bitef Festival-Belgrade, Rose des vents-Villeneuve d’Ascq 2003), Postanovscik (Nobodaddy-Ravenna, 2004) and Just Intonation (Festival di Santarcangelo 2011 e CRT-Milano 2013) represent the results of a research based on the production of simulacra, an opportunity to combine the concepts of material and virtual in order to produce original creations.
In 2000, Masque won the Ubu special prize for the project “Prototipo” and in 2002 got the Francesca Alinovi prize for its artistic activity.
