Niconote aka Nicoletta Magalotti – performer, outsider artist of the independent scene – developing a personal language between music and performance.  Italian / Austrian born in Rimini in 1962, she approaches to the theater with masters such as Yoshi Oida, Gabriella Bartolomei and Woytek Krukowsky. In the mid-80s, she was the singer of the  italian new wave band Violet Eves and an interesting discography crosses through her artistic career until today. NicoNote is also a DJ and  inventor of unconventional spaces and has created, among others, the concept-room called Morphine inside the Cocoricò club, in the 90s. She was an actress on various shows and film (Romeo Castellucci / Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, Patricia Allio and others). In 1997, she created the acronym NicoNote her stage name and of her team, which in 2010 became NicoNote Dream Action, a working group leading projects between France and Italy, supported by La Fonderie – Le Mans where she presented in January 2011 her latest creation: Drinnen – performance suite through Schumann. NicoNote Dream Action also presented the concert-performance Rhapsody (or Alphabet Dream) at the Foundation Cartier for Contemporary Art,in Paris June 2010 as part of the Nomadic Nights and at various festivals and theaters in Italy and France ( MilanOltre, Festival Vie, Armunia, TNB Rennes, Actoral Marseilles). It’s out now the new album produced by NicoNote for Cinedelic records. The title track of the album’s Alphabe Dream, composed with the French musician Mikael Plunian.
