Some winter months.

And before is the return of a young woman to her elder sister, in her hometown. This young woman, like many others of her age, lives abroad. Before is December, that is a homecoming and a gaze at the past. Outside, all around, time cries events. And so it is January, that harms our consciences with its first attacks and umpteenth wars. And so it is March as well. Then, there is, at times, some personal event, a tad in History, but a violent inner strain so that History is left on the background, and time becomes slow, interior, almost motionless.

Alessandra Di Lernia is a theatre actor and author, whose works (Col tempo, Il retro dei giorni, del sordo rumore delle dita) have been taken on stage by the Clinica Mammut Company, which she has co-funded and co-directed between 2012 and 2015. This year marks her collaboration with Licia Lanera (Orgia) and Frosini/Timpano (Carne).
