realized in collaboration with Teatro di Roma
with the support of the program Europa Creativa dell’Unione Europea.

Five playwrights from Israel / Palestine , Greece , Bulgaria , Syria and Italy met in the think tanks of UTE in Rome and Vienna to discuss important global issues : borders , nationalism , tolerance , war, terrorism , economy , public goods , privatization of ‘ water and human trafficking . From there it emerged the idea of working on ports and stories of those who live there . Playwrights Angeliki Darlasi , Stefan Ivanov, Roberto Scarpetti and Amir Nizar Zuabi will read excerpts from their texts, allowing to launch a look on the development of this project .

BIOGRAPHY

With more than 40 members in 18 European and non-European countries, the Union des Théâtres de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée, founded in 1990 by the French Minister of Culture Jack Lang and Giorgio Strehler, is a network of theaters and theater artists, that realizes an innovative transnational labor cooperation and exchange on an international level, with the intention of spreading a critical observation of our society .
