La Batteria is a Roman musical group who debuted with the self-titled album in January 2015, a collection of original songs inspired by the world of soundtracks and Italian soundtracks of the ’60s and’ 70s. The four components of the battery are veterans of more transversal Roman music scene, with experience ranging from the progressive post-rock (Founderia), pop (Otto Ohm and Angela Baraldi), the experimental jazz (I.H.C.), to hip hop (La Comitiva, Colle der Fomento), to world music (Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio).
Since the publication of the first album, the band was very well received in the press and among the public, she has performed in many festivals and clubs throughout Italy, landing in Paris too, and experienced happy collaborations with artists such as Workers Orchestra , Colle Der Fo-mento, Roy Paci, Jolly Mare.
In March 2016 Battery has released a free download Fegatelli, a collection of unreleased and remixes, and in May was released Tossico Amore (Penny Records / Goodfellas), a reinterpretation by the band of the soundtrack of the film Caligari Claudio Amore Tossico, composed by Maestro said Mariano.
For Tossico Amore tour the group has created a show in which the music is accompanied by video specially made and “played” live by the Roman Daniele Spano.
