Giuseppe is a blind youth who has been training in dance for the past few years.
Giuseppe/Pinocchio leads us through the details and, in various scenes, delves into minutiae, between intimacy and eeriness.
Being the wood/within the wood.
Pinocchio generates the desire to give life to an infinity of details, discoveries, apertures, clearings.
Giuseppe/Pinocchio offers us a new compilation of elements centered on light, individuating it in listening, and in the gesture of silence.
This Slightly different Pinocchio gravitates towards silence, running alongside certain types of bodies that we can see in the dawns of Piero della Francesca (Baptism of Christ in London’s National Gallery), or that emerges in the colors of Tiepolo’s light (Moses saved from the waters in Edinburgh’s National Gallery), or in Bellini’s painted flesh tones (Pietà Martinengo at the Accademia in Venice).
